The presentation 'Fostering Communities of Inquiry and Practice Through Peer Interactions for Doctoral Students in Distributed Programs' was successfully held at the 2024 Annual Doctoral Residency Meeting. This session, presented by Betsy Lewis, Cassandra Buffington-Bates, and Justin Chevalier, focused on strategies to enhance collaboration among doctoral students in distributed learning environments. Attendees examined the importance of peer interactions in building supportive academic communities that foster inquiry and practice.

Justin Chevalier and I delivered an engaging presentation titled "Music Immersion, Emotion, and Communication" at the Multidisciplinary Information Symposium (MIRS). Their work explores how music can profoundly affect emotional responses and enhance communication, showcasing its significant role in information dissemination. MIRS inspires and supports newcomers to scholarly communication, encouraging submissions from graduate and undergraduate students and early professionals.

As a research team, Dr. Rose Baker, Justin Chevalier, Sanket Patole, and I presented at the 2025 Performance Improvement Conference. The presentation demonstrated how AI chatbots can strengthen social support by guiding users through honest conversations rather than canned replies. It focused on interaction and engagement, highlighting practical ways to make digital support feel human, responsive, and dependable.

I had the honor of delivering an engaging presentation on my ongoing research, which explores one of my key interests at the intersection of multimedia innovation and healthcare. The presentation, titled Digital Storytelling for Health Promotion: A Novel Approach to Enhance Well-Being and Communication, focused on how digital storytelling can be used to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. My research aims to promote a forward-thinking approach to communication and advocacy in healthcare, ultimately striving to improve quality of life outcomes.
